I listened to this book on audible。This was a wonderful continuation of the series。 I love meeting Lia and learning her story。 And I love how the author has the characters visit and interact with the characters from the previous books。

I wonderful ending to this series。 I wish it continue on finding out all the new shifters， the new loves and lastly the development of the town。 The writing style was simply enough which made everything easy to follow alone。 I just adored all the characters in the series。 Especially the dragons。 ;）

As simple as the story is in all of these novels， I sure do love them。 The character arcs are simple， but they still evolve。 The stories are fairly easy to figure out， but still fun to read about。 Harper is just so good with fun dialogue and interesting characters that I enjoy reading them inspite of what many see as a lack of depth。

MY RATING GUIDE: 1= dnf/What was that？; 2= Nope， not for me; 3= This was okay/cute; 3。5= I enjoyed it; 4= I liked it a lot; 5= I LOVED IT; it was GREAT！ （I rarely give 5 Stars）。 5 Stars。 I was delighted with SHIFTERS IN THE NIGHT novella， an Audible Original recording in the Mystic Bayou series by Holly Harper。 SHIFTERS IN THE NIGHT follows ONE FINE FAE making it the last story in the Mystic Bayou series （so far） - a quick reading/listening， quirky， paranormal romance book series。 I do not recom MY RATING GUIDE: 1= dnf/What was that？; 2= Nope， not for me; 3= This was okay/cute; 3。5= I enjoyed it; 4= I liked it a lot; 5= I LOVED IT; it was GREAT！ （I rarely give 5 Stars）。 5 Stars。 I was delighted with SHIFTERS IN THE NIGHT novella， an Audible Original recording in the Mystic Bayou series by Holly Harper。 SHIFTERS IN THE NIGHT follows ONE FINE FAE making it the last story in the Mystic Bayou series （so far） - a quick reading/listening， quirky， paranormal romance book series。 I do not recommend SHIFTERS IN THE NIGHT as a standalone title。 Rather， I suggest beginning at the beginning of the series and reading the books in order。 The unique characters weave through one another and the series contains an encompassing story arc which really shouldn’t be missed。 I enjoyed this audio version very much。 The narrators （Jonathan Davis & Amanda Ronconi） did a wonderful job with the various voices and kept the reading interesting and a pleasure to hear。In SHIFTERS IN THE NIGHT， Lia Doe/FMC comes to Mystic Bayou， a deer/hind shifter as the Logistics Mgr for New Grounds Construction， a company who develops homes and apartments suitable for super natural humans across the country。 Since the recent undeniable sighting and the social media postings regarding Super Natural beings （and the publicity spin that followed）， the past very quiet and secluded Mystic Bayou had suddenly becoming “the place to live” for those who were simply curiosity seekers and for those who had always felt out-of-step in the real world。 And so suddenly both people and shifters were coming in large numbers to the little parish of Mystic Bayou。 It was Lia’s job as Logistics Mgr， to see that there were suitable homes when they arrived。 Jon Carmody/MMC is a Selkie shifter and he has always preferred the quiet and seclusion of the bayou， especially since his serious injury years ago。 As Mystic’s only 3rd generation marine mechanic business owner， when people needed him to work on their boats they knew where to reach him。 People came to him。 He never needed to advertise or put himself out into public。 And that had suited him just fine。 But now the town was changing。 Another marine business had recently opened and was filling orders - orders that had once been Jon’s。 Jon’s brother Will， who recently found a mate for himself， encourages Jon to visit town and mix with the people more。 But Jon hadn’t been in town the first time he had seen the lovely naked deer shifter now， had he？ She had come straight to the water near his home for a swim。 And what a sight she had been！ SHIFTERS IN THE NIGHT is the next episode （so to speak） in the delightful parish of Mystic Bayau - where if things aren’t perfect， they are darn close。 And where perhaps the nudge of shifter strength and loyalty keeps most trouble in its place。 The female characters in Mystic are independent， unique， and capable， and while the male characters aren’t perfect， they are dedicated to their town and their people， their hearts are loyal， and a sense of brotherhood among everyone pools their strength。 Together the residents of Mystic Bayou create a better community。 Readers who enjoy light fantasy and time travel novels， Cozy Mysteries， Sweet Romance novels with Sweet HEAs will most likely enjoy the Mystic Bayou series。 I really enjoyed the audio novella SHIFTERS IN THE NIGHT。 This was my 2nd audio in this series; I enjoyed reading the previous titles - Great Fun！ READER CAUTIONS - VIOLENCE - PG。 PROFANITY - Yes。 Strong language used rarely。SEXUAL SITUATIONS - Yes。 About 1/2 way， intimacy with details， moving to closed door。 *Readers who prefer novels without witches， vampires， demons， etc should note that the oddities in Mystic are mainly various shifters。 。。。more
